Year of Science 2026
Preventive care, health, and quality medical care are essential—lives depend on them!
Year of Science 2026 – Medicine of the Future
Have you ever wondered what medicine could accomplish in the future?
What if advances in science could be tailored to your individual needs?
And what if your medical data could be utilized in a meaningful and responsible way?
The Year of Science 2026 is asking these questions today for the health of tomorrow. With the help of innovative technologies and artificial intelligence, researchers are working on making medicine preventive, personalized, digital and participatory, without losing sight of the human. This would lead to more effective treatment, which considers the needs of specific people, particularly women. If this has piqued your interest, we invite you to take part in the events, projects and other activities organized by the Year of Science 2026: https://www.wissenschaftsjahr.de/2026/veranstaltungen.
Together with representatives from science, research, business, media, and politics you can have a say in what the medicine of the future could shape up to be.
The Year of Science is a joint initiative of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt, BMFTR) and Wissenschaft im Dialog (WiD), the German organization for science communication. For more than two decades, they have fostered dialogue between researchers and the public.
The Year of Science offers exciting challenges every month—why not join in?
